Track Option #4: Christ Conscious - Joey Bada$$

This is a song which was written by an artist by the stage name of Joey Badass, who is from Flatbush, New York. He has a very Neo-style which mixes old NewYork rap with the modern New York rap.

Track Option #3: Leapord Shepard - The Underachievers

This is another group that are also from the same sub-genre of conscious rap, who are from Flatbush, New York. The group are known as The Underachievers. The message in there song is to have a free spirit. They also talk about the importance of self-enlightenment and being knowledgable and wise. An idea for this song would be having the footage in monumental scenery; for example, mountains, rivers, forests. These kind of places have a beautiful scenery which, to some people, enlighten us on how the beautiful the world really is. 

Track Option #2: Turn Me Up - Ab-Soul

This is another song which is done by the same artist, which has a similar message to the previous song that I showed in the first track option. However, this song features another artist named Kendrick Lamar, who is also apart of the same group. I believe that the previous song was inspired off of this song as this song was created first.

Track Option #1: Can Anybody Hear Me? - Ab-Soul

This song is a conscious rap song, which was written by Ab - Soul who is an artist from a group named Top Dawg Entertainment (T.D.E for short). The song is about having ones thought heard by people instead of constantly being ignored. It features a lot of deep messages about how the music industry is operated and how it prevents the true meaning of hip hop and rap from being exposed to the fans. Possible Filming ideas for this song are: having the artist perform in the studio; I could also have the artist going about his daily business but not being heard by anyone.

Logo For Artist

I chose to make this the logo for my artist as the fist logo can represent pride, power and a high status. The vibrant colours which are used can represent different personalities and emotions which is very big within conscious rap. Also the use of the headphones can suggest to anyone who see the logo that it has got to do with music. the combination of both the fist and the headphones makes its own metaphor which could be "empowered music" which is what conscious rap is all about, which is getting to the deeper meaning and message of the song.
